The VDart internship program

Every year VDart scouts for the brightest minds to help grow and develop young talent. We provide hands-on training and guidance in each student’s academic field, working directly with school counselors to maximize benefits through credits, recommendations, and project experience.

Paid internships are available on a case-by-case basis, with flexibility between part-time and full-time. VDart interns have gone on to Ivy League schools and meaningful career placements.

What the interns do

The Internship Program at VDart allows its interns to learn aforementioned technologies at a rapid pace while performing projects to refine their learning. In the internship, they will also be provided guidance by experienced mentors to lead them down the right paths. Our interns have worked on a variety of projects ranging from game development using Python, Unity and Blender 3D, a mobile app and web dashboard that helps candidates with their onboarding process that were built using ReactJS and React Native, a web app that connects small businesses with users that was built using ReactJS and MeteorJS, and a lot of other powerful, beautifully developed applications.

The internship journey

Each internship is catered differently based on the student’s needs. The Internship Program will last for 3 months, or a semester, and through it, the interns will have a guided learning process, tailored to their needs and interests in technology and programming. Successful interns typically extend this duration to 6 months to 1 year to help amplify their resumes for either college applications or for professional pursuits. Towards the end of the program, interns will be given a capstone project, which will be a large project designed to display and showcase all of the knowledge that they have collected during their journey at VDart.

Rewards for performance

All interns are awarded the following based purely on performance and outcome, not tenure.

Letter of recommendation

A custom letter of recommendation that interns can use to strengthen college applications, scholarship submissions, or future job opportunities, written directly by their internship supervisor based on real performance.

Resume referral

Once permission is granted, interns can list their supervisor's contact information directly on their resume as a professional referral, giving future employers a direct line to verify their experience at VDart.

Industry certification

Interns have the opportunity to enroll in paid, industry-recognized certification programs that build on the hands-on skills they've developed, helping them stand out in their specific field after the internship ends.

Job placement

For undergraduate and graduate interns, full-time job placement opportunities are available based purely on the strength of their supervisor's recommendation and demonstrated performance throughout the program.
